I’ve received the new USB “Big Button” for Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson Nano, and NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier.

This device is manufactured by “Electric Magic”:

This button is seen as a classic USB keyboard (5V) and can be pushed violently with a mechanical industrial life of 500 000 times. The connector is USB Type A.

The box is built in ABS with one seal for the cable and one seal for the cable, the button is waterproof.

Fun projects

You can use this button for fun projects like “Major Policy Decision Button”. You can pick any computer with one USB port, this button will work perfectly with all Raspberry Pi versions. The Macro key can be used for Games.

Industrial project

There are drainage outlets and buckle at the bottom, can be hung on the wall. With the hardness protection box.

Customize the key of your big button

You have first to unscrew the four screws, and open the box.

We can see the power switch with two cables:

To redefine the USB key, you have to move the pins.

I’ve received the “Big Button” with the key “Enter” preconfigured, the pin configuration is:

• C10
• R4

To change the key to “Escape”, I’ve to plug:

• C1
• R3

Protective cover design

You can use a lock to close the protective cover for industrial use.

The button has one protective cover design that could be removed.
